Box truck crashes through cable barrier on I-84 in Peterson

PETERSON, UT – First responders were called to the scene of a collision involving a box truck on I-84 near Peterson early Friday.

According to a report by ABC 4, the truck was eastbound on the interstate near mile marker 96 when it crashed through a cable barrier and into the oncoming lanes, where it was hit by an oncoming semi-truck.

The impact caused the cable to wrap around both trucks, shutting down all westbound lanes of the interstate.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the collision.

Investigators are working to establish and official cause of the crash. Our team will update this news blog as any additional information is made publicly available.
