2 injured, 46-year-old man killed in head-on crash in Price

PRICE, UT – Two were hurt, and a 46-year-old man lost his life when his Volkswagen car struck a minivan head-on on westbound US-6 near mile marker 195 Saturday.

The Utah Department of Public Safety did not indicate why the 46-year-old man — Benjamin Campbell of Price — veered out of the eastbound lanes and into the westbound ones. Campbell did not wear a seatbelt and was shortly pronounced dead at the scene.

First responders airlifted the minivan driver to a hospital, and the passenger with them was transported by ground to a hospital for treatment of unspecified wounds. Both of their conditions are not immediately clear.

Additional information will follow when it becomes available.
