2 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash in South Ogden

SOUTH OGDEN, UT – Two people were sent to the hospital after a distracted driving accident in South Ogden on Sunday evening.

According to a report by KSL, the driver of a Toyota Camry ran the red light at the intersection of 36 Street and Riverdale Road shortly before 5:30 p.m. The Toyota struck an SUV, causing it to overturn and pin the driver inside.

The SUV’s driver was extricated by first responders and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injures. Offices believe that individuals was texting when they went through the red light. However, it is unclear at this time if they will be cited or charged.
