1 hurt in side-by-side crash in Beryl

BERYL, UT – A driver of a black Kia Rio tried to pass a big rig on a Beryl road but did not see another driver to his side, causing him to collide with the other car and the other motorist to sustain injuries.

This serious crash occurred at northbound 1600 E and 7200 North before noon Monday, St. George News revealed. As indicated in the photos, both suffered significant front-end damage; one was nearly totaled.

First responders said the force of this collision led the man to suffer a tearing on his upper thigh. He was taken to St. George Regional Hospital, and there has been no official word on his condition.

The Kia driver was unscathed.
