1 hurt in semi, pickup truck sideswipe crash in New Harmony

NEW HARMONY, UT – A pickup truck driver sustained minor facial injuries after sideswiping a semi-truck on I-15 amid rainy conditions around 1 p.m. Thursday.

According to St. George News, the driver of the gray GMC pickup truck started to feel sleepy while driving. When he came across the slow-traveling semi-trailer, he sideswiped it immediately as he didn’t have much time to react. As a result, the semi’s side rail came loose and rammed through the pickup truck’s windshield.

The semi-truck driver and a male front-seat passenger with the pickup truck driver were both unwounded.
