1 hospitalized after Washington Co. SUV, ATV crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, UT – One man was flown by helicopter to the hospital after a crash between an SUV and ATV Sunday.

The collision took place before 5 p.m. on Cottonwood Springs Road, according to St. George News

A driver of a Toyota 4Runner was traveling south on Cottonwood Springs Road, while a driver of an ATV was dealing with a “blind corner from the opposite direction.” The driver of the SUV then swerved to the left and hit an embankment. The impact caused the driver of the 4Runner to then collide with the ATV.

The ATV passengers sustained minor injuries, while the Toyota 4 Runner passenger was ejected from the vehicle and then airlifted to a hospital for unspecified injuries.

The SUV driver was also arrested.
