1 dead, 1 injured in Salt Lake City rollover collision

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – One person sustained minor injuries, while another occupant’s life was lost to an SUV rollover crash Friday.

Gephardt Daily said that based on a preliminary investigation, the SUV driver, for reasons unclear, hit two stationary cars in the area of 650 W. 800 South, which led the SUV to flip over.

The impact of the collision caused the passenger to be ejected from the SUV and suffer fatal injuries.

The driver sustained minor injuries and appeared to have not been transported to a hospital.

Salt Lake City Police are working to pinpoint if impairment was a contributing factor in Friday’s deadly motor vehicle accident.
