1 airlifted to hospital after Duchesne Co. ice climbing incident

DUCHESNE COUNTY, UT – One was seriously injured, and another person went missing following an ice climbing accident Sunday. 

The accident happened near Indian Canyon, Town Lift Park City News reported. 

Three climbers were involved. For reasons unclear, one went missing. Search and rescue teams are in the process of locating that climber. 

One other occupant was spared from injuries and was able to notify 911 of what happened. 

One other victim was airlifted to a hospital for severe injuries after falling off the mountain 40 feet. 

No additional information is available.
